William Sadler to return as Grim Reaper in Bill & Ted Face the Music

It has been confirmed that actor William Sadler (The Shawshank Redemption, Demon Knight) will reprise the role of the Grim Reaper in Bill & Ted Face the Music. Sadler memorably played the role of Death in 1991’s Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey, the second film in the Keanu Reeves- and Alex Winter-starring movie series, during a sequence which comedically riffed on Ingmar Bergman’s classic film, The Seventh Seal.

Confirmation of Sadler’s courtesy came via the official Bill & Ted 3 Twitter account. “For those who have been asking,” read the message, “[Sadler] will totally be reprising his role!”

It was announced last week that Bill & Ted Face the Music will shoot this summer and be released in theaters nationwide on Aug. 21, 2020.
