Misha Collins writes letter to Supernatural family ahead of final season: ‘We’re just getting started’

It’s only been a couple of days since Supernatural wrapped its 14th season, but with the news that season 15 will be the show’s last, quite a few of the people involved in the show have chimed in to share their love and appreciation for the experience.

Most recently, Supernatural star Misha Collins shared a letter he wrote to the #SPNFamily. “In 2008, my life changed forever,” it begins. (Reminder: The show began in 2005, but Collins’ Castiel joined in season 4.) “What was supposed to be a small part lasting a couple of episodes on a genre TV show turned into over a decade of my career. I had no idea that when I stepped onto that set for what I thought was a simple acting gig, I was actually being welcomed into a family,” he writes, talking about family both on and off set.

Collins continues to write about the many experiences the #SPNFamily has had over the years, both good and bad, including all of the amazing charitable acts they’ve achieved together. “It’s the first days of my last-ever Supernatural hiatus,” Collins writes. “When we go back after the break, we’ll do everything in our power to give you an incredible season you deserve, one more time.”

He then ends the letter by reminding fans that endings are “really just a beginning in disguise.” As he puts it, “We may have been brought together by this show, but we’re all family now — and that’s not going anywhere. We’ve already impacted the world for the better… and we’re just getting started.”
