Jimmy Fallon’s ‘Wheel of Musical Impressions’ skit is inspiring a new NBC show

Jimmy Fallon‘s “Wheel of Musical Impressions” skit has inspired a new reality show for NBC. The network has ordered 10 episodes of a new unscripted series called “That’s My Jam” that will draft off all of Fallon’s clever celebrity musical segments on The Tonight Show.

The hour-long competition series will feature Fallon with a group of celebrities, who will each play his new, music-based games.

“We love playing these games on the show and it’ll be fun to see it taken to the next level,” said Fallon in a statement.

“Jimmy reinvented the late-night genre with his one-of-a-kind celebrity game segments that show our favorite stars at their most clever, creative and relaxed,” said NBC reality show chief Meredith Ahr. “We’re thrilled to bring viewers a new set of games and create a weekly party that is just as much fun to watch as it is to play along.”

NBC calls Fallon the “late night pioneer in viral celebrity games and moments.” More than 20 million YouTube subscribers have streamed his “Wheel of Musical Impressions” skit, as well as his “Musical Genre Challenge” and “History of Rap” shorts.

Fallon will also exec produce the show. There’s no projected airdate for the new show.
