Alexander Skarsgard is the hunky Canadian Prime Minister in Long Shot trailer

Seth Rogen and Charlize Theron didn’t want to make grand political statements with Long Shot, their new romance story with an adult comedic edge. But, as the new trailer confirms, there are still some parallels to our current reality.

For one, the film also has a sexy Canadian Prime Minister with Alexander Skarsgard. His version isn’t that bright, though, as he tries to take Theron’s Secretary of State Charlotte Field to “this great little place” called “mini bar.”

What’s a strike out for Canada’s leader is a win for Rogen’s Fred Flarksy. Long Shot follows Fred reuniting with his high school crush as adults, only now she’s one of the most powerful women in the world vying for the Oval Office and he’s a struggling journalist. A reverse Pretty Woman ensues as Fred, who’s hired to bump up her campaign speeches, tries to become worthy of the girl of his dreams.

The film — also featuring Bob Odenkirk, Ravi Patel, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Andy Serkis, June Diane Raphael, and Randall Park — received glowing reviews from critics after it debuted at the SXSW Film Festival in Austin. Looking for the comedy of the summer? This is a solid contender.

Long Shot will open in theaters on May 3.
